Tech innovation takes a bold step forward as a South Korean startup introduces smart glasses designed to help visually impaired people navigate the world with ease. The invention, powered by artificial intelligence, provides real-time descriptions of the user's surroundings, thanks to an in-built camera and bone-conduction audio.

Worn like regular spectacles, the device captures images and converts them into audio feedback — identifying people, reading text, spotting obstacles, and even recognizing facial expressions.

Unlike traditional assistive devices, these AI-powered glasses don’t just warn of danger — they offer vision through sound. Developers say the product could revolutionize how millions of blind and partially sighted people experience everyday life.

The startup has already begun local trials and is seeking global partnerships to roll out the technology in developing countries — including parts of Africa — where assistive tools remain largely unavailable.

"This isn’t just an innovation; it’s dignity restored," one of the inventors said
