Denzel Washington’s gripping action sequel The Equalizer 3 is now streaming on Netflix, marking a major moment for fans of the franchise — and for one of Hollywood’s most respected leading men.
Originally released in cinemas in 2023, including select IMAX screenings, The Equalizer 3 has since made its way to UK audiences via Sky Cinema. But its arrival on Netflix opens the door to a wider global audience — many of whom are already calling it Washington’s finest sequel to date.
While The Equalizer 3 isn’t his most recent film — that title belongs to Gladiator 2, which premiered earlier this year — this third installment in the vigilante franchise has resonated strongly with viewers. The Rotten Tomatoes audience score stands at a striking 93%, comfortably outshining the previous entries (The Equalizer at 61%, and The Equalizer 2 at 77%).
A Dark, Stylish Finale — With More to Come?
Marketed as the final chapter in Robert McCall’s brutal redemption journey, The Equalizer 3 sees Washington’s character attempt to leave his violent past behind by retiring to southern Italy. But as always, peace is fleeting. When local communities fall under the thumb of mafia control, McCall is forced back into action — delivering justice the only way he knows how.
While critics have offered more tempered praise (the film holds a 76% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes), fan enthusiasm remains sky-high. And despite the “final chapter” branding, Washington has hinted that the franchise may continue, with parts 4 and 5 reportedly in early development.
Classic Denzel: Intensity, Precision, and Justice
From bone-snapping fight sequences to his signature steely stare, Denzel is in peak form. Fans will recognize the now-iconic McCall traits: cool precision, quiet menace, and a relentless pursuit of justice. The film’s unapologetically violent tone (age rating 18+) and stylish cinematography only enhance the experience.
The Equalizer 3 offers more than just action; it’s a character study of a man torn between solitude and a sense of duty — a tension that Denzel Washington conveys with characteristic gravity.
Now Streaming Worldwide
Whether you're discovering the trilogy for the first time or returning for one last mission with McCall, The Equalizer 3 is now just a click away on Netflix. It’s action cinema crafted with skill — and a leading performance that once again proves why Denzel Washington remains one of the most commanding actors of our time.
