Nigerian influencer and media personality Priscilla Ojo has found herself in the eye of a media storm in Tanzania, following a strong warning issued by outspoken Tanzanian media figure, Mange Kimambi.
Since relocating to Tanzania after her marriage to popular singer Juma Jux, Priscilla has been actively sharing moments of her new life with fans on social media. However, her growing online presence appears to have triggered concern from Kimambi, who took to Instagram to air her grievances in a fiery, emotionally charged post.
Kimambi accused the couple—Priscilla and Jux—of distracting Tanzanians from pressing national issues, particularly the upcoming elections, by posting what she described as "stupid content." She suggested that their online activities may even be serving the interests of the government by diverting public attention.
“We are fighting for our rights… so we don’t need you and Jux to distract our people with stupid content,” Kimambi wrote. “Please don’t make us hate you, our in-law.”
The media personality urged the couple to take a five-month break from posting online and further called on Jux to speak to his best friend, fellow artist Diamond Platnumz, to also "lay low" during the politically sensitive period.
Despite the sharp tone, Kimambi insisted the message came from a place of affection, expressing love and admiration for Nigerians while emphasizing the urgency of Tanzania’s political climate.
“We love you, our sweet, beautiful girl… but kindly don’t derail our efforts. If you need to do kiki, take him to Nigeria and do it there.”
As tensions rise ahead of the Tanzanian elections, this incident highlights the growing scrutiny public figures face in times of political unrest—especially when entertainment and activism collide.
